Colonial Produce at Home.
(Per Press Association.) Lomdon, April 23. The cool stores opened at Manchester with a capacity of one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. Arrangements have been made for the direct steamers to call from Australia and New Zealand next season. Cheese has fallon two to four ehillings owing to large Canadian holders placing their stocks in the market. The measurement of freights to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide will be raised 2s 6d next month. The paving woods have fallen f>a owing to the glut of imports from Australia. The Hon, Mr Ward haa promised to assist Mr Reynolds in his endeavours to secure a reduction in freight on dairy produce.
