BIRMINGHAM.
A meeting of householders was held in the schoolhouse last evening for the purpose of electing a new school committee
tor the ensuinp year. Tbere was an attendance of 15 householders. The outgoing committee's report was read, showing : — Receipts— Balance in bank, Jane, 1894, £10 8s 2d ; from Education Board, £12 13s ; refunded by Board carting, 15s; tolal, .£23 16s 2d, Expenditure—Cleaning school and outbuildings, £4 2s ; repairs to fences, buildings, and furniture, £14 ; erecting fence, £3 ; balance shelter shed, £8 ; stationery, 15s 4d ; exchange and stamps, 2s 6d ; carting, 15s ; fuel for the use of school 15s ; balance in bank, £5 12s 4d ; total, £23 16s 2d. The report was adopted unanimously. The new committee elected were — Messrs A. Pettigrew 14, G. Bainbridge 13, J. Burne 12, J. Harris and G. Anyon 11, W. Morton and E. Palmer 10.
