The Butter Industry.

Per Press Association.) Sycxky, April 18Messrs Weddell Bros., the well known prodnce importers, in their report on the butter season, attribute tbe fall in prices to the enormous quantity imported from Denmark, France, Sweden and Holland and not to on over supply from the Australasian colonies. They advocate shipping butter all the year round, and that to retain tbe custom of the best buyers the supply must be continuous and regular as to quality. The general opinion of experts is that the decline in prices will continue' but the posi»ion is not without some hopeful features. The dominant feature of the situation is the European hay crop, but at present it is too early to predict prospects. UaDada is erectiag many new cheese factories, therefore the supply of that article will be largely increased, and the prospect cf high prices is not very bright.
