Hobson Bay Sewer Disaster.

♦ (Per Press Association.) Melbourne, April 16. Some painful scenes occurred at the recovery of the bodies of those drowned in tlie sewer, especially iv the case of Foster, who had for a long period been out of work and begged for employment, as he had a family of six children depended on him. They were almost starving, and he obtaiued the position in the shift through another employee being unable to work. When his body was brought to the surface two of his youngest children threw their arms around it and cried, " Father, ain't you coming home to dinner to-day." Relief subscriptions have been started.
