The Feilding Jockey Club's Autumn ; Race Meeting, -which was postponed : from Easter Monday and Tuesday : owing to the exceptionally wet Weather was commenced to-day with the first day's events and will be continued tomorrow. The weather to-day is fine. : There was a moderate attendance and people were still going on the ground when we went to press this afternoon. ( Results :— Flying Handicap, of 60 soys ; 6 furlongs. Reid) 3 Also ran —Kalmiaßstslb, Orion Bst 31b, Cup, 7st2lb. Allan-a-dale got the best of tbe start closely followed by Sea Breeze and Kalmia, Cheque being last away. Coming round the bend to the straight Cheque went up to second place and finished two lengths behind the winner, Sea Breeze a bare length third Time, lmin 22secs. Totahsator, £301 Dividend, £5 Bs. First Handicap Hurdles, of 60 soys; If} miles. (93) Mr J. Green's Narrate Ost (J. Morris) 1 (103) Mr R. Kingan's Auroa lOst 91b (Owner) 2 (37) Mr C. Hawkins' Unity lOst 81b 3 Also started —Rangipai 11-3, Sunbeam 9st (with 31bs over). Auroa jumped away with the lead, closely followed by Narrate, who went to the front after travelling a couple of furlongs, and led past the stand in that order with several lengths to spare from Unity. Narrate increased her lead at the back of the course, but Auroa closed up coming up the straight and finished two lengths behind, Unity being about two chains away third, and the others nowhere. Time, 3min 34secs. Totalisator, £303 ; dividend, L 2 18s.
