Feilding Temperance Demonstration.
A committee meeting of the above was held in tbe Primitive Methodist Church last evening, Captain Renshaw in the chair. The secretary reported correspondence had been received from Mr F, Pirani, M.H.R.. intimating his pleasure at receiving the invitation to speak on the ground and consenting to do so. From Mr O. Grant, accepting the position of j chairman for the Demonstration. i The secretary also reported that after j seeing Colonel Newall he found that the most attractive part of the volunteer review (the march past) would not take place till 4 p.m., thus giving temperance friends an opportunity of attending the Demonstration and seeing the review also. A games committee, with power to add to their number was appointed to amuse the juniors. Resolved, That Messrs H. Barry aud H. L. Jackson marshall the procession, and that the same* start from the Foresters' Hall at 10 a.m.
