Polo Match.
The return match between the Manawatu and: Feilding Clubs, was played on Saturday. Messrs Mcßae, Baker, Abraham, and Lloyd represented Mana■watu, and Messrs" Cooper, Gorton, Giesen, and Pickering, Feilding. Play was commenced shortly after two o'clock and for the first two spells a strong wind, which afterwards calmed down, blew across the ground and interfered considerably with the play. The play, however, was interesting, and Manawatu on one or two occasions were dangerous, but no goal was scored for either side. On the ball being put into play in the third spell, it was collared by Gorton, who took it straight for tbe Manawatu goal and scored. Lloyd scored for Manawatu shortly after the frmr&h spe22 started, and when the whistle sounded for time, the scores stood one goal each. It was determined to play on, and after some twenty-five or thirty minutes, no farther scores being made, it was decided to play for five minutes more and in the event of no goal being hit during that time, the aame to be declared drawn. On resuming Feilding took the ball well up the field and Giesen, by a well directed hit, put the ball between the posts, leaving Feilding victorious by two goals (;o,one. , Mrs Bagnall kindly provided afternoon tea.
