MOKE FIGHTING. THE ENEMY AGAIN DEFEATED. (Per Press Association). Calcutta, April 6. The Swntis swarmed on both sides of the pass. Their shooting was wild, but if thoy had been armed with modern weapon?, it would have been impossible to dislodge them with the force at the disposal of tho British general. The machine guns, however, mowed them down by hundredsThe news has been confirmed that Urma Khan's forces have captured Lients Toiler ancl Edwards and nine Sepoys near the Neastuj Pass, Immediately after the disaster to Lieut Koss' party they were conveyed to Harwa, near AHdand, where they were well treated. Dr Robertson, Brilkh agent, and the Chitral garrison are safe and not pressed by the enemy. They have at the present plenty of provisions. It is officially announced that ten British and three Sepoys were killed at the engagement at Malakund Pass, and ten officers and 28 British and 27 Sepoys wounded. April 7. News has been received that the first Chitral brigade entered Swat and drove back a force of five thousand natives who barred the road, and guides, corps and cavalry subsequently charged twelve hundred of the enemy, cutting up 130 of their number, the rest Hcd to the hills. A large force of enemy had collected at Thana, but they quietly dispersed when warned to do so.
