Feilding Fire Brigade.

A meeting of the Feilding Fire Brigade was held last night. Captain Eade in the chair. Lieut Tank's resignation as a member of the Brigade was received, and, on the motion of the secretary (Mr H. Worsfold), seconded by (Japtaip Eacle, it was accepted with regret. The delegate to Hokitika, Mr H. Worsfold, gave a resume of the deliberations of the conference, and spoke in great praise of the manner in which the visitors were treated. The Secretary was instructed to write Hokitika Brigade thanking them for the courtesy this brigade's delegate had received from the Hokitika people. The nomination of officers resulted as follows ; — Captain, A. Eade ; Lieutenant, Fireman G. Saywell and Foreman A. Newman ; Foreman, Fireman Muller ; Foreman at the engine, C.H. Mansell ; Secretary and Treasurer, H. Worsfold. Messrs Beard, Hughey, and J. Evans were proposed as members of the brigade. Resolved, on the motion of Fireman Bishop, seconded by Fireman Mansell, That a long service medal, for five years' service, be presented to Captain Eade. Resolved, That a three years' service certificate be presented to Lieut Tank. It was decided to interview the member for the district, Mr John Stevens, and urge Upon him the necessity for free passes on Government railways to firemen attending demonstrations. The meeting then adjourned.
