Feilding S.M. Court.
This Day. (Before Mr Stanford, S-M.) A. K. Blundell (Sheep Inspector) charged D. Johnston and W. A. Sandilands with exposing sheep affected with lice in a public sale yard. Defendants were convicted and fined 20s and costs. A. K. Blundell made a similar charge against H. P. and C. H. Clare. Convicted and fined 20s and costs. H. S. Munro v. Alf. Green ; claim £4. Mr Reade for plaintiff and Mr Sandilands for defendant, raised the objection that plaintiff was an undischarged bankrupt. Mr Reade submitted the book debts had been sold and bought by Mr liowes, who transferred them to plaintiff. Mr Sandilands replied that a written assignment should be produced. — Case adjourned to 19th instant, costs of court to go with cause. D. Johnston v. John Cowdry ; a judgment summons claim £1 13s. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff and Mr Reade for defendant. Defendant was put in the -witness box and gave evidence to the effect that he was unable to pay, he having been out of work most of his time before and since judgment was obtained. No order was made.
