* [PKR, PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Melbourne, March 29. The Minister of Agriculture, replying to a deputation of exporters, expressed himself as strongly in favour ofthe mail subsidy being abolished. He bad every hope that the efforts in the direction of establishing an almost w r eekly service between Victoria and England with insulated boats would be crowned with success. Thia Day. Wm. Rind, claimant ofthe Kind estates has been arrested, on a charge of obtaining money under the pretence of being Rind's son. The Argus suggests if Australia is allowed more than one representative on the Monetary Conference the numbers should correspond with the relative yalues of tbe gold and silver produced in the colonies. This would give 4 gold representatives to one silver man.
