HEAVY FIGHTING EXPECTED. (Per Press Association., Calcutta, March 27. The latest news received from Chitral was dated the 21st instant, and stated that the forts are holding out against the hostile tribesmen, and were so. far safe. March 28. General Lowe's (not Howe) expedition leaves Nowshera, near Peshawur, on Saturday for Hati Mordan. A brigade, lightly equipped, leads the advance.. Heavy fighting is expected with Srab tribesmen at Malatbma pass. Sydney, This E>3.y. Captain Onslow, a local military officer, Who went to India for six months' training, is attached to General Lowe's ; expedition.
