Colonial Bank.
(Per Press Association.) Dunkuin, March 27. At the half yearly meeting of the Colonial Bank, the Hon. G. McLean, President, in moving the adoption of the report, recommending a dividend 6 per cent, said the bills payable aud other i liabilities were less by .£78,000 the deposits had|increased bj i-136,000, the coin and bullion by £'86,000, remittances inthe course of transit .£109,000, while the advances had decreased by L 161.000. Encouraging news has pome to hand of an improved demand and hardening pripes of wool. Begular markets with, fairly payable prices would spepdi}y put an entirely different aspect on the trade of the trade. In reply to a question, the chairman said so far as human foresight could see he saw no chance of a c&U. They could not profitably employ all the money they had at the present time, The report was adopted and Messrs Henry lioso and Walter Hislop were 1 elected auditors.
