Roads and Bridges Allotments.
We mentioned in last issue that at the Cabinet meeting of Monday Minis ters had allocated L 17,000 for various public works (roads, bridges, &c.,) through the Colony. The sums allotted for roads and bridges in this district were the following : — Rangitikei bridge, Vinegar Hill, LI for LI, L 250 ; Watershed and Murray's, L 750 ; Mangatoro Valley road, L7OO ; Alfredton -Weber road, L4OO ; Tirautuea bridge (Hull's crossing) subsidy, L 50 0; Waohine bridge, L.500 ; Cleland's road, L.HSO ; Waimarino (Makotoku Valley roads), L 750 ; Waimarino roads, L2yO ; total, L46so.— Times.
