The English Navy.

(Per Press Association), London, March 24. In moving for the inci'ease of the Naval Reserve seamen Lord Brassey submitted that the tonnage of the fleet had doubled in the last decade. In other respects, too, the Navy had never been iv a better condition than at present. He proposed to include 20,000 who entered the navy as boys, and who after five years should join the reserve I in a similar manner to those in the French, Russian, and German navies. In concluding his remarks Lord Brassey urged that the question should be submitted to a committee of enquiry.
