(Per Press Association.) Wellington, March 25, Mr Hoban, who was appointed by the New Zealand Rugby Union to see to practical effect being given to proposals to secure a legal status to athletic bodies, is asking rowing, swimming, cycling, cricket, athletics, lawn tennis, football, golf, polo, bowling, and yachting associations to appoint delegates to a conference to decide upon clauses for submission to Government to secure athletic clubs being given a legal standing, which will allow them to sue and be sued and secure punishment of dishonest officials. The proposal has already been approved by nearly every athletic body in the colony. It only remains to settle the legislative form.
