Feilding Jockey Club.
AUTUMN MEETING. The Committee of the Feilding Jockey Club met at the Feilding Hotel last evening to receive nominations for the Autumn Meeting, to be held on April 15th and 16th, and to transact other business in connection with the meeting. The nominations thiß yea* are slightly under those of last Easter, when 153 were received against 139 for the coming meeting, or 14 less. However, the entries include some of the best horses in New Zealand and there is every prospect of this meeting proving a great success. Three applications were received from inventors for permission to try starting machines, two being local (Mr P. Murtagh and James and Say well), but the Committee decided it was not desirable in the interests of horse owners to experiment with any starting machine at this meeting.
