In the afternoon the Colonial Ammunition Match, ten shots at 500 yards, was fired for a sweepstake arranged by the men themselves. G. Loveday (Woodville) and W. Smith (Southland) each made one within the possible. McKay (Christchurch), 48 ; White (Auckland), Trooper Sommerville (Wanganui), Greenwood (Upper Hutt), 47. The men speak highly of the ammunition and consider it equal to the Kynoch, but say it appears to be stronger, requiring lower elevation. The conditions were 5 shots at 300 yards, and another tie resulted each making 18. In the next shot Mooseinan scored an inner against Scott's outer, and so holds the Cup. The Nursery Match, 10 shots at 500 yards, was fired to-day, and McArdle, of Pahiatua, ran the Association into further expense by getting on the possible. Prize list— McArdle (Pahiatua} £6, 50 ; Chapman (Wairoa) £3 10s, 49 ; Meyer o (Wangarei) £3 10s, 47; Cox (A.
