Cricket News.

A match was played at Feilding on Saturday last between teams representing the Ashurst-Pohangina and Feilding- Clubs, resulting in an easy win for the former by an innings and five runs. As usual with some of the Feilding players they either dirt not put in an appearance or arrived after the game had commenced and several substitutes had been put on. This practice is very discouraging to those players who do always attend when picked, or send timely notice if they are unablo to play. As will be seen from the scores the local men made a very poor stand before Pierard and Taylor's bowling. The win was a very creditable one to so young a Club as the Ashurst-Pohan-gina CJub, the members not having such facilities for practising as a town Club like Feilding. Mrs Lethbridge, with her usual kindness, provided afternoon tea for the players- Following are the results : — Feilding— lst innings. — Reaoe, b Taylor, 0 ; G.
