Wellington Stock and Produce Markets.

A. G. Tame and Co. report on the markets ending 15th March : — Fat sheep — Prime fat wethers, 8s to 9s; fat ewes, 6s 6d to 7s; heavy, 8s; fat lambs, 7s to 8s for best. Store sheep— 2 and 4-tooth wethers, fresh, in good demand at 5s 6d to 7s ; ewes, 4 and 6-tooth, good hnes, 6s to 7s ; medium, 4s 6d to 5s ; fresh f.m., 2s 6d to 3s 6d ; have placed all offered ; cull ewes, ls to ls 6d ; better enquiry for sheep. Fat cattle— Demand limited to local requirements. We quote prime bullocks beef 16s 6d to 17s. Store cattle— Market slacker, bave sold all forward at our sales. Weaners, 20s to 22s ; yearling dairy heifers, 30s to "* 36s ; and up to £2 15s for some older sorts ; yearling steers, a shade less ; 2year old-steers, 45s to 60s ; 3-year up to £4 10s for fresh well-grown bullocks. Dairy cows — Good demand for young cows; have soid everything on our books up to .£8 10s and M 10s to £5 10s for heifers. Horses—We held ow usual horse sale on Saturday. We quote—Good youn_< draughts, L 25 tp L3O ; medium, Ll6 to L2O ; stylish harness horses, well broken, £12 to £18 ; aged horses and inferior hacks bard to shift, good draughts would sell but they must be good. Wool— Season is practically over, only late late lots coming in. Market is decidedly firmer for all descriptions. Home market firm, and prices looking up a little. Sheepskins — All coming forward are selling freely, full-woolled bringing up to 4d per lb, and others in proportion. Grain — Fowl wheat, 2s 8d ; oats, best plump feed, ls f-d to ls Bd. Duns about the same, market very sluggish. Fungus— We can place in any quantity at full market rates. wmmmmmmmmaam—wmmm .
