Government Land Sales.

Mr Commissioner Baker conducted a sale of township and village settlement sections at HunterviUe on Monday. The attendance was not large, and not many sections were quitted. Beserve section 3, Bruce street, Hunterville, was sold to Messrs H. Whitlaw and A. S. Brooker. Section 9, West Waitapu, was sold to Mr S. Doyle for £5 oash. The following Village Settlement sections were offered for lease in perpetuity : —Section 25, West Waitapa V.S., to Mr J. Burstall Molatosh ; sections 1, 3, and 4, Welford V.S., to Mr Thomas Palmer ; section 6, "Welford Y.S., to Mr George Jobson ; and section 7, Welford "V.S., to Mr Walter Scott Jobson.
