Fire in Wellington.
(Per Press Association). Wellington, March 8. Almost on the stroke of 11 to-nighfc a fire broke out in the Bus Company's stables at Newton, three miles out of town, and, as a fierce northerly gale is blowing, it is not likely to be subdued. The plant had only recently been taken over by the manager, who was running the affair for himself, and the loss will be considerable. The chief loss will be in the building, fodder, spare harness, etc. There is no insurance available. The fire is still raging. The horses and busses are engaged on the road.
