(Per Press Association). Melbourne, March 5. The Weather was disagreeable for the second day's racing, a high wind with clouds of dust, prevailing. The attendance was meagre. Results :— Maiden Stakes, 1£ miles— Maroon 1, Leeway 2. The only starters. Won by a long neck. Time, 2min 12f aeo. A soot Vale Stakes— Challenger 1, Onward 2, Trentina 3. A good race. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 21£ sec, Hurdles— Associate 1, Neli 2, Bischotf 8. Won by two lengths. Time, 6min 4£sec» Australian Cup, 2J miks— Havoc 1, Donation 2. The Harvester 3. All the seventeen acceptors, except Cob bity, Devon, and Quiver, . started. Idolator was first into the straight, buif Havoc coming fast cut him down and won easily by two lengths.. Both Donation and The Harvester came with a late run and finished second and third. Time, 4min llf sec. Junior Handicap — Ayrshire 1, Slumber 2, Onward 8. Won easily by two lengths. Time, lmin 6£sec. Bourke Handicap— Eiridsforde 1, Tullamore 2, Solanum 3. Won by a length and a half. Time, lmin 82sec.
