Feilding Library Committee.

The regular monthly meeting was held last evening. Present— Messrs G. W. Fowles, McLean, Allan, W. Halcombe, and Watson. In the absence of the Chairman, Mr Fowles was voted to the chair. The Librarian's report was read, showing that two new works bad been added to the Library in January, and twenty-nine in February. The number of subscribers at the end of February was 58, to whom 151 books bad been issued. The Treasurer reported there was a credit balance in hand of £12 Is. Accounts amounting to M 10s 4d were passed for payment. Resolved, That in future meetings be notified by post card. Resolved, That Messrs McLean and Watson be a sub-Committee for current month, to purchase books to the extent of M. It was decided to instruct the Librarian to forward any available magazines and periodicals to the Palmerstou Hospital, in accordance with a previous minute to that effect. The meeting then adjourned.
