It is stated that Mr J. Campion has sold the Ascot — Laurel colt he purchased some five months ago from Mr D. Fraser to Mr W. Green, of Bulls, the price paid being £'100. Mr Campion paid £30 for the colt. A Hawera sport has, since the Palmerston races, offered a sum slightly under .£IOO for the racing mare Finesse, recently owned by Dr. Bennett, and sold at the sale of his blood stock at Feilding about three weeks ago for £30. The offer was refused. Mr Evett has raised Monte Carlo's weight in the Wangauui Cup to 7st 61b. The horse's original weight was 7st 21b. The other weights stand as published.
