A Clergymans' Furniture Seized for Rent.

O' An extraordinary state of affairs was disclosed at a special meeting of parishioners of the Church of England at Temora (Victoria). The meeting was called to devise means to prevent the pastor's furniture being sold in distraint for rent, and four ladies and three men attended. One speaker was vehement in his denunciation of the scandal cast upon the Church and its adherents by this state of affairs, and said it was an actual fact that on Christmas Day the paßtor and his wife had not a meal in their house. It was resolved to distribute circulars giving a full statement of affairs, in order to shame the Church adherents into action.
