FEBRUARY WEATHER, 1895.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir,— The rainfall for the past month of February was 4£ inches, the whole of which, with the exception of six-hun-rtredths of au inch, fell during the first 16 days of the month. Bain was registered on 12 days during the month, and the heaviest fall in 1 day was I*B6 inches, registered on the morning of the 6th. The mean temperature at 9 a.m. was 63-96 degrees, the mean maximum 84-35, and mean minimum 49-28. The maximum temperature in 1 day was 92 degrees on the 17th and 19th, and the minimum 35 degrees during the night of the 24th. I am, etc., Saml. Goodbehere. Fcilding, Ist March, 1895.
