* (PEB PBESS ASBOCTATION.J London, February 27. The s.s. Maori King called at Vitno Bay, iv Spain, and her cattle will, therefore not be allowed to land at GraA'esend. They will have to be slaughtered on board. Mr Pritchard Moore is making a strong appeal to the Government to permit them to be landed. The Angus cattle by the Echuca were too fat and heavy to suit the Smithfield market, aud realised about .£24 each. Some of the Durhams sold rather below yesterday's prices. < Later. Sir S. Samuel endorsed Pritchard Moore's request, but the Board of Agriculture replied it was impossible to relax the rules.
