The Minister of Lands.

I Pee Press Association.] Dunedin, Feb. 27. The Hon. J. McKenzie addressed his constituents at Palmerston South last night, when a vote of thanks and confidence in the Ministry was passed. The speech was on the lines of his recent one in Dunedin. As to " spoils to the victors," he said it could not be said he had dismissed a single officer for the sake of filling his position, and no one could truthfully assert he bad put a round man in a square hole. Since the Treasurer had spoken another month's revenue had come in and this went to show that the forecast made by the Treasurer would be more than fulfilled.
