Flagship Orlando, Admiral Bridge, ar rived aG the Bay of Islands from Hobart this morning Ac noon to-day Mr Nieoll, Chairman of the Auckland Harbor Board, received the following telegram from the Admiral, " Expect to arrive at Auckland to morrow forenoon, probably about 10 o'clock." This intelligence upsets the arrangements made for the reception of the Admiral by an aquatic display in expectation that he would not arrive till Saturday. To day was practically observed as a close holiday at Napier and Hastings on the occasion of the Hospital Demonstration Sports. A procession half a mile long marched through the town. A number of Masterton residents, who are interested in the Special Settlement Association, are petitioning the Wellington Land Board to enable them to do road-making in the Mount Cerberus Block. A young man named Flint was cleaning a gun at Lansdowne on Tuesday night, when the barrell burst and blew off the top of one finger besides shattering the hand. Another man who was standing by had a narrow escape, being struck on the side of the head.
