Palmerston N., This Day. The weather is fine, but dull, and there is a large attendance. Results : — Flying Handicap— Cheque 1, King's Bowman 2, Bushboy 3. Splendid race. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 18 l-ssec. Dividend, £9 ls. Handicap Hurdles. — Osman 1, Revolt 2, Narrate 3. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 3min 58secs ; dividend, £11 ss. Hack Hurdles. — Dart 1, Moa 2, Spreydon 3. Won easily. Time, 3min 26 3-5 sec ; dividend, £1 13s.
The principal winners at the Dunedin races were : — Stephenson, £964 ; Goodman, £437 ; Hobbs, £256 10s ; Waddell, £171 .'Derrett, £155; Sir G- Clifford, £142 ; Allan, £104 10s ; Sherwin, £104 10s. Smaller amounts bring the total to £2932. It is stated that Musket has changed hands, being purchased by the well knowa Christchurcij sport, Mr V, Harris, The price has not transpired, Irish Twist has been scratched for the Wanganui Cup and Skirmisher for all engagements at the same meeting. Irish Twist is not competing at Palmerston.
