Polo Match.
On Saturday twp teams from Feildiug journeyed to Bulls to play tho Rangitikei Polo Club but were defeated by 17 goals to 5, chiefly owing to the collapse of their No. 2 team who were defeated by Bto nil. The teams consisted of the following players. Feilding No. 1 team — Strachan, Gorton, Giesen, Pickering. No. 2 team - Elkingtou, Cooper, Lewis and French. Rangitikei No. 1 team — Bill, Riddiford, J. G. Wilson, A. Keiller. No. 2 team — E. Keiller, H. Wilsou,.Lane and K. Dalrymple. The teams played alternately in spells of 15 minutes each, and the first spell of the No. 1 teams ended 2 goals each, the scorers beiug Strachan and Gordon and Wilson and Bill. In the second spell goals for Rangitik.ei were scored by Riddiford and Wilson, and for Feilding by Giesen, and in the tlurd by Pickering and Strachan for Feildiug and Wilson, Keiller and Riddiford for Rangitikei, while in the final go Wilson and Riddiford each added another to the credit of the local team. Total— Rangitikei 9, Feilding 5. The Rangitikei No. 2 team in the first spell knocked up 1 goal, and in each of the following 3, 2, 2, respectively. The scorers being Keiller 3, Wilson 4, Dalrymple 1. Afternoon tea was provided on the ground by the ladies and was much appreciated. A return match will be played at Feilding on Saturday March 9th, between the Palmerston and Feilding clubs, and Feilding will probably play WarreDgate at Fordell on Saturday next.
