Another Rich Gold Find.
£20,000 FROM 100 TONS OF STONE (Per Press Association.) Perth, February 19. Another gold discovery, which is said to eclipse the famous Londonderry mine, has been made at a spot fis - e miles north of the twenty-five mile township. The outcrop is very large and bold, and carries gold in large coarse particles. A quantity of quartz brought in i 9 immensely rich. The find was made a month ago by three prospectors named Davie, Keed, and Parry, but they kept the matter secret. Very little sinking has been done owing to the want of proper tools, but as far as the reef is opened up, gold is shown in dazzling quantities. Mr (Jadman says that within the last year worth of gold has been obtained from 100 tons of stuff in tbe old Union Beach ground at Coromandel. That is at the rate of ;£2OO to the ton. And yet the Press Association agents at Auckland have never thought the matter worth a telegram. Verily the people up North are singularly modest. — N. Z. Tiuiep.
