(PRB PRKSS ASSOCIATION K Melbourne, February 15. The cricket match Victoria v. South Australia commenced to-day. Great interest is attached to the game as the result will practically decide the intercolonial premiership and possession of the Sheffield shield. Barrett replaced Graham in the Victorian team, the latter being unable to play owing to illness. The wicket was in splendid condition and played very fast. The public attended in large numbers. When the stumps were drawn for the day the Victorians had lost nine wickets for 83b".
