IPBB PRBBB ASSOCIATION.') Weilinotoij. Feb. 11. Before the Tariff Commission to-day Mr Goleman Phillips, of the W»ir ara P a « gave evidence as to the possibilities and requirements of the South Sea Islands trade. The question of admission of the Press was again discussed, some of the Commissioners regretting the present suppression of such valuable evidence, but the resolution excluding the Press was re-affirmed. Mr S. Carnell, M.H.R., gave evidence on matters relating to the photography business. The Commission will go south to-mor-row and after taking evidence at Christchurch will visit Dunedin and Invercargill on the way south. The sitting of the commission is expected to last three months.
