Wellington Stock and Produce Markets.

A. G. Tame and Co. report the Wellington markets for the week ending, Februarj' Bth ; — Fat sheep —In sympathy with the home markets fat sheep are decidedly oasy, fat freezing wethers bringing from 9s to 9s 6cl ; fat ewes, 6s to 7s 6d ; according to weight. Fat lambs -The demand for freezing is still fairly good but there are not many freezing lambs about this season, sales have been made at 6s 6d to 7s 6d. Store sheep— The bottom seems out of the market except for lines of good fresh store wethers. All classes of store sheep are very much depressed, and values quoted are sometimes difficult to realize— lines of store wethers 6s to 7s ; 4to 6-tooth ewes, good, 5s to 6s 6d ; full mouth ewes — only fresh sheep are saleable except at boiling down prices, lambs, no sale as yet. Fat cattle— ln plentiful supply at 17s (id per lOOlbs. Store cattle — Selling freely — Store steers, .£4 to .£8 10s ; 2-year steers, £B to £3 10s ; yearlings and 18-month olds, 38s to 503 ; calves, 24s to 30s. Dairy stock — Good demand for young cows and heifers coming now or later on. Sales have been made— Cows, £6 to £7 10s; heifers, £4 to £5 10s. Pigs Good demand which we do not think will continue long — 7 weeks pigs, 10s to 12s ; porkers, 20s to 255 ; baconers, 38s to 455. Horses — We held our usual horse sale on Saturday last. We had a good attendance of all classes of horses except draughts. The attendance of buyers was good and we cleared the biggest part of our entry. We offered on behalf of Mv Jas. Leighton, of Hawke's Bay* 6 useful spring drays and light harness horses, and sold the lot at :— 4-year old colts partly broken, £15, £14 10s and £14 ; unbroken colts, £'10 ; and aged harness horses at £5 10s. Of aur general eatry we sold — Harness horses, £8, £8 10s and .£10 ; aged harness horses sold at £6 a,n& £8 ; hacks, aged, £4, £5 and £& 10s. We have a draft of good draught horses coming from the South and harness horses from the North shortly. Wool — Market at home is much the same, and no alteration in values locally. Sheepskins — All coming forward sell freely at 3M to 4|d for well wooled skins.
