(Per Press Association.) Wellington. Feb. 7. The Labor Department intend to take prqceedings against 20 Chinese shopkeepers m the^city for : not q)osing their premises yesterday aftei'noon. Dunedik, February 7. At the Police Court, Charles Henry Nicholls was charged with not closing his shop on the half -holiday. It was stated that he was under the impression that as the shop was kept by himself and his wife he was not required to close. Mr Ca;:e.w, §.&!.. thought the mistake jreasbii able 1 ana;bnly im-pqsed a f|ne qfand costs 17s 6d!
