A Double Casualty.

(Per Press Association.) Wanganui, February 7. The Oreti, which was despatohed from Wellington with gear for floating the Manawatu, now lying piled up at the entrance of the river, also, camp to grief. While trying to, enter the port this morning at high water she grounded on the crest of the bar. Latest particulars to-night show that she has drifted off the bar on to the beach almost 200 yards north of the breakwater. So far no damage is reported except the loss of the propeller, although she is badly knocked about. The Manawatu is still in thaf ame position.
