The Tariff Commission.

(PKB PBEBS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, This Day. The Tariff Commission opened its sittingg in the Parliamentary Buildings at eleven o'clock this morning, Major Steward in the chair. Messrs W. Hutchison and Tanner were present. After the formal commission was read, telegrams were read from the absent Commissioners, Messrs T. McKenzie, J. Stevens and McGowau. Mr Duthie, the other Commissioner is on his way to England. Mr Russell, of the Hansard staff will act as shorthand writer to the Commission. It is thought probable the proceedings will be open to the press.
