London Wool Sales.

BIDDING SPIRITED. | Per Press Association.! London, January 30. There was spirited bidding at the wool sales to-day, and prices were maintained. ' French buyers were active. Tho series closes on Tuesday. The following London cablegram has been received by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company: — Wool — Since the opening of the sales, scoured merino, medium and inferior, and medium greasy cross-bred, are par to yd per lb lower ; other descriptions unchanged. The American demand is good. Seedy and burry wools are neglected. There is much irregularity in the bidding. The total quantity catalogued to date is 127,000 bales, 15,000 of which have been withdrawn.
