Q (MB PBEBB ASSOCIATION I. Wellington, January 28. At a meeting of the Prohibition League several speakers denounced the polioe for shutting their eyes to in- ' fringements of the liquor laws. One declared drink was freely sold at a recent race meeting, though there was no license on the course. Another asserted the result of next poll would be to shut up Christchurch hotels and he urged Wellington to rouse themselves and strike home also.
