Captain Russell at Napier.

(Per Press Association). Napiku, Jauuary 28. Captain Russell addressed a public meeting at the Theatre Royal this evening, his object being specially to reply to the recent speech of the Premier here. The Theatre was packed by a most enthusiastic audience, though there were a good many interruptions, mainly of a good uatured character. He traversed almost every point touched on by the Premier, quoting figures aud extracts from official documents which he claimed disproved the statements of the Premier. He was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his able aud statesmanlike address.
