Polo Notes.

The lacai polo players had a good praotice on Saturday afternoon, when Mrs Piokering kindly provided afternoon tmM tea. It is probable a match will be arranged for February 9th, between the Palm erst on and Feilding Clubs, hi view of which players are requested to attend the practice on Saturday next. The polo match between the Manawatu and Rangitikei Polo Club attracted a large crowd of spectators at Hokowhitu on Saturday, who watched the contest with keen interest. The teams were evenly matched, therefore the games were well contested. Manawatu No 1 team defeated Rangitikei No. by 3 goals to % and Manawatu No. 2 team defeated Rangitikei No. 2 by 4 goals to 3. The following comprised the teams. Manawatu No. I— A. Williams, A, S. Baker, F. P. Snow, full-back F. S. Mcßae. No. 2— J. Hewett, R. S. . Abraham, A. W. Skerman, full-back F. W. Sewell. During the polo match at Palmerston on Saturday (says the Standard) the pony Mr F. W. Sewell was riding fell and broke its leg, and had to be destroyed.
