Stock Market.
Messrs Gorton and Sou report on their stock sale at Feilding yesterday as follows : We yarded over 500 cattle and 2000 sheep. The cattle chiefly comprised useful steers and forward bullocks. We sold nearly all the cattle at and after the auction at quotations. Sheep were slow of sale but we quitted all but three lots. Quotations : Forward bullocks, £4 12s 6d to £5 4s ; store bullocks, £4 to £4 8s ; light beef, £5 8s ; cows and calves, £3 0s 6d ; 2 to2|-year steers, £8 4s to t:3 5s 6d ; 18-month steers, £2 15s 6d ; yearling steers, £1 15s to £2 ls ; calves, 13s to 21s. Sheep — 2-tooth wethers, 5s 6d to 6s 9d; medium 2-tootb ewes, 4s 9d ; old ewes, 2s.
