Eaure is said to be strongly sympathetic with England. On the 20th inst. M. Bourgeoise was summoned to form a Cabinet in succession toM. Dupuy, who resigned. He undertook tbe task and gave forth as his programme pledges of concentration and republican union. He selected as colleagues M.M. Cavignac, Minister of War, Theumaun, Minister of Marine, Peytral, Minister of Public Works, Poincaire. Minister for Finance, and Hondtrima, Minister for Foreign Affairs. Two daya later he announced he was unable to complete his Ministry, and attributed his failure to the fact that several of his colleagues objected to a Progressive Income Tax. At the request of the President he renewed his efforts, but finally abandoned the task yesterday. < _ — mm
