A CHALLENGE.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. g IRf — Having heard a report that I payed Fitzgibbon and Halcombe to allow me to throw them at the late Feilding Sports meeting, I wish you to state through the medium of your valuable paper that the report is entirely untrue, and I will undertake to throw Fitzgibbon five times within an hour at Catch-as-catcli-can and Graeco-Roman styles ; and will wrestle Halcombe (whom I do not underrate) a match in those styles, the best two out of three falls in each style. First come first served, and I will deposit any amount up to i"2O for a match with either under the above conditions. I am, etc., J. Sutherland. "Woodvilte, January 19th, 1895.
