(FEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, January 21. Mr D. Gouk, who left for the wreck of the Wairarapa on Saturday with a diver, returned early this morning. The diver went down, but found the wreck entirely broken up, and they therefore came back to town, as nothing could be recovered. Palmerston N m This Dav. Yesterday the Palmorston Bowling Club, in three rinks, beat the Thorndon Club by 20 points. Christchurch, January 21. The Minister for Education and the Bishop of Salisbury left for Wellington to-night. Dunedin-, January 22. The Colonial Treasurer will be entertained at a social gathering on Saturday evening. H. P. Sanders has reduced the cycling record from Invercargill to Dunedin to 10 hours 54niiu. Mr J. A. Millar addressed his constituents at North-east Valley to-night, and received a unanimous vote of confidence.
