An Unfounded Imputation.
~" 'O ————— (Per Press Association). Wellington, January 20. The statement at the end of the report of the Premier's speech at Napier, forwarded to seme papers by the Press Association, to the effect that the instruction sent by the Press Association respecting the reporting of his address must have been obtained by Mr Seddon from the Telegraph office, is wholly unfounded, and was in no way suggested, nor is it endorsed by the management of the Press Association. On the contrary, the Premier was openly informed how it was intended to report his speech, and the reflection on the secrecy of the Telegraph Department conveyed in the report is wholly unwarranted. _^__^___
