A Melancholy Death.
(Per Press Association.) Opunake, This Day. George McNeil, aged 19, sou of the lighthouse keeper at Cape Egmont, was found dead on Saturday night from a gun shot wound in the head. From the position of the body and the gun it appears in going through the bush be got entangled in supplejacks and to save his fall propped the gun in front receiving the charge full in the forehead.
