♦ (Per Press Association.) Hokitika, January 9. The Hon. Mr Seddon addressed a crowded meeting at the Princess Theatre this evening. His speech, which occupied nearly four hours in delivery, gave a comprehensive resume of the work of the past season. The policy of the Government with regard to finance and land legislation was defended. It was stated that the matter of the revision of tariff would occupy the Government's attention nest session., There was no intention on tne part of the Government to go in for any borrowing scheme.
